8 AI Visibility Audit Tools for B2B SaaS, Matched to the 5 Audit Parts (2026)

The Rank Master editorial team Updated 25 October 2026 16 min read

An AI visibility audit for a B2B SaaS company has five parts: whether AI crawlers can reach your pages and read the facts in them, your buyers' questions and every engine's answer, the pages each engine reads, your share against rivals, and the fix list. For the parts that have to run every day, the tool we would point a SaaS team to is Cituna: it tracks all 7 AI engines, writes the fix for every gap, shows which AI crawlers read your pages and publishes to your CMS, from $49 a month, with unlimited page audits in the same tool. Ahrefs Brand Radar is the pick for benchmarking any brand across its prompt index, Peec AI for source and gap analysis with unlimited users, Rankscale for more than 17 engines, and the Semrush toolkit for teams already on Semrush. Otterly.AI starts at $29, Profound suits an enterprise contract, and HubSpot's free AI Search Grader is a sensible first look.

Every tool fact below comes from the vendor's own page, recorded between 24 September and 24 October 2026. A tool runs the audit; acting on the fix list is the work. If you want a team to get your product found in Google and recommended by the AI engines buyers ask first, book a 30-minute call.

The 8 tools, by the audit parts they run

Prices are billed monthly. "Read" is the date the vendor's own page was recorded. The parts are listed for the cheapest plan unless a higher plan is named.

What a B2B SaaS AI visibility audit must cover

An SEO audit asks whether Google can crawl, index and rank your pages. An AI visibility audit asks five more questions, in this order, because each one depends on the one before.

1. Crawler access and server-rendered facts

AI companies run separate agents for training, for search indexes and for fetching a page while someone waits, and robots.txt treats each one on its own. Check every token you allow or block, then check your CDN or firewall bot rules as well. Our guide to AI crawlers and robots.txt lists each agent by vendor and job.

Then check what the crawler can read. In a Vercel and MERJ study published on 17 December 2024, none of the major AI crawlers rendered JavaScript. Fetch your pricing page, a comparison page and an integration page without a browser (with curl, or by viewing the source) and search the raw HTML for prices, plan limits and integration names. A fact that only appears after JavaScript runs may be a fact the engines never see.

2. The buyer questions, and every engine's answer

Write down the questions a buyer asks before a shortlist exists: the category question, the comparison with your main rival, the integration question, the pricing question. Freeze the wording, then put each question to every engine your buyers use, more than once, because answers are written afresh each time. Our guide to measuring brand visibility in ChatGPT sets out the panel and the three scores (mentioned, recommended, cited) by hand.

3. The pages each engine reads

Every answer that cites sources tells you which pages that engine trusts for your category. Record them per engine: your own pages, review sites, rival comparison pages, forum threads, listicles. Those pages are where the answer can be changed. Two of the most common third-party sources for SaaS answers are covered in our guides to Reddit in AI answers and getting into the best-of lists engines quote.

4. Rival share

Count how often each named rival appears against you, per engine and per question group, never as one blended figure. An average across engines hides the engine where you are missing.

5. The fix list

Turn each gap into one change with an owner: a technical fix (a crawler token, a fact moved into server-rendered HTML, schema), a page (a comparison, an integration page, an FAQ block), or a source to win (a review site, a list, a forum answer). Order it by the buyer questions closest to a purchase.

How we chose and ordered these 8

This is a desk comparison of published pages, not a hands-on test. Every fact comes from each vendor's own pricing, product or help page on the date in the table.

The bar. A tool is on the list if its pages say it runs at least one of the five parts for a brand, and it publishes a price, a free plan or a free check a team can start alone.

The order. Tools with a published paid plan come first, sorted by how many of the five parts their cheapest plan covers, then by price. A tool covers the answers part only when its cheapest plan includes at least six of the eight engines this site follows (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode), since an audit of three engines leaves most of the picture out. Profound, sold by quote after a trial, and HubSpot's free grader, a one-time check, come last because they are different kinds of purchase. The order is a lens for an audit, not a score of data quality.

The 8 tools, one by one

1. Cituna: best for the daily parts of the audit in one tool

Cituna asks seven AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode) your buyer questions every day, on every plan. Its AI crawler analytics, also on every plan, show which AI crawlers read each page next to the answers that cite it, which joins parts 1 and 3 of the audit. It runs unlimited page audits and generates fixes such as schema, FAQs and llms.txt, and AutoSEO writes articles for the gaps (30 a month on Starter, drafts by default). Google Search Console is built into the paid plans, and API keys and an MCP server with 22 read tools come from Starter.

  • Covers: crawlers, answers, pages read and the fix list.
  • Best for: a SaaS team that wants the answer, crawler and page parts of the audit running daily, not once.
  • What it costs (read 24 October 2026): Starter is $49 a month for 1 brand and 10 prompts, Pro $119 for 3 brands and 30 prompts, and Max $399 for 10 brands and 90 prompts. Annual billing charges 10 months for 12. The 3-day trial needs a card, is not charged during the trial, and covers 1 brand and 5 buyer prompts on all seven engines.
  • Free option: an AI visibility checker that tests whether eight AI crawlers can reach and read a site, and an llms.txt generator, both with no signup. The checker is a crawler-readiness check, not a brand check.
  • Where it falls short: it does not track Microsoft Copilot, Starter tracks 10 prompts, and the trial has no MCP access and no Search Console.

2. Ahrefs Brand Radar: best for benchmarking any brand before you audit your own

Brand Radar looks up any brand across Ahrefs' database of more than 496 million prompts a month on Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity and ChatGPT, with no setup, and its custom prompts track your own questions daily, weekly or monthly, Claude included. It reports mentions, citations and AI share of voice, and Ahrefs offers free Web Analytics and a Bot Analytics view of crawler visits, free while in beta.

  • Covers: crawlers (Bot Analytics), answers, pages read and rival share.
  • Best for: sizing a category and its rivals before you choose your own buyer questions, or a team already on Ahrefs.
  • What it costs (read 24 October 2026): custom prompts are $50, $100 or $250 a month for 2,500, 7,000 or 25,000 checks. The AI Visibility Index starts at $199 a month for one platform, and Ahrefs' help centre lists all platforms at $699.
  • Where it falls short: it reports rather than recommends, so the fix list is yours to write. Grok is not on its list, each Claude update uses 8 checks, and the index is re-tested monthly. No trial is listed. Our Ahrefs Brand Radar alternatives compare nine tools for teams not on Ahrefs.

3. Peec AI: best for source and gap analysis shared with a whole team

Peec AI analyses the domains and URLs AI answers cite, tracks share of voice against competitors, runs a gap analysis with recommended actions and reports AI crawler visits and referrals. Self-serve plans track 3 models chosen from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI, and every plan has unlimited users.

  • Covers: crawlers, pages read, rival share and the fix list. Three models fall short of the answers part as this guide counts it.
  • Best for: an SEO or content team that wants the source and gap parts of the audit visible to everyone.
  • What it costs (read 17 October 2026): Starter is $95 a month billed monthly, or $80 billed annually, for 50 prompts on 3 models. Pro is $245 for 150 prompts. An extra model on Starter is $35 a month.
  • Where it falls short: Claude and Grok are tracked only on the custom Enterprise plan, which also holds API access.

4. Rankscale: best for the widest engine coverage in the answers part

Rankscale monitors more than 17 AI engines, among them ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, with citation, sentiment and competitor analysis and page audits of any URL on every plan. You pay in credits and set each prompt's frequency, from hourly to monthly.

  • Covers: crawlers (page audits), answers, pages read and rival share.
  • Best for: an audit that must include engines most tools skip, such as DeepSeek and Mistral.
  • What it costs (read 17 October 2026): Pro is $99 a month billed monthly, or $84 billed yearly, for 1,200 credits and 50 page audits a month, with a 7-day trial. Essentials is $17 a month, billed yearly only ($204).
  • Where it falls short: a Claude check uses 2 credits against 0.25 for ChatGPT, so cost depends on the engine mix, and its pages name audits rather than written fixes.

5. Otterly.AI: best for page-level audits on a small budget

Otterly.AI runs your prompts daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot and reports brand mentions, website citations and a visibility index. It audits single URLs for generative engine optimisation and gives three recommendations a week on Lite, and its Standard plan adds Agent Analytics for AI agent visits.

  • Covers: crawlers (the URL audit), pages read and the fix list on Lite, with Agent Analytics from Standard.
  • Best for: a small team that wants a URL-by-URL audit and daily tracking of a handful of prompts for under $30.
  • What it costs (read 24 September 2026, plan prices checked again 20 October 2026): Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts. Standard is $189 for 100 prompts with API, MCP and Agent Analytics. Google AI Mode and Gemini are add-ons from $9 a month and Claude from $29.
  • Where it falls short: Claude costs extra and Grok is not offered (read 1 October 2026), and the trial's length is not stated.

Source: Otterly.AI's pricing page, read 24 September, 1 October and 20 October 2026.

6. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: best for the crawler part inside an SEO suite

Semrush's toolkit audits whether AI crawlers can read a site, with AI search checks in Site Audit for up to 100 pages, benchmarks a brand's AI visibility and share of voice against competitors, and lists the prompts and topics where rivals are cited and you are not, which gives a team its own to-do list. It tracks chosen prompts daily on platforms such as ChatGPT and Google AI Mode.

  • Covers: crawlers, rival share and the fix list. Four engines fall short of the answers part as this guide counts it.
  • Best for: a team already on Semrush that wants the technical and competitor parts beside its SEO audit.
  • What it costs (read 24 September 2026): $99 a month for 25 prompts and 1 domain for Brand Performance reports. Semrush One Starter, bundling SEO and AI visibility, is $199 a month with 50 daily prompts.
  • Where it falls short: no free trial of the toolkit, each user needs a licence, Brand Performance reports refresh weekly, and the toolkit article lists neither Claude nor Grok.

7. Profound: best for an enterprise audit with agents on a contract

Profound tracks how a brand and its rivals appear in answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and other engines, estimates what people ask AI assistants with Prompt Volumes, reports traffic from AI sources with Agent Analytics, and puts an agent called AI Marketer to work on research, writing and reports.

  • Covers: answers, rival share and agents on Enterprise; the trial runs Profound's own prompt set.
  • Best for: an enterprise team that wants prompt-volume data and agents with procurement and SSO.
  • What it costs (read 24 September 2026): a 7-day free trial runs 50 prompts a day on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews from a recommended set that cannot be customised. Enterprise is by quote, listing up to 9 answer engines, an API and SAML SSO.
  • Where it falls short: no published brand price, and the trial cannot test your own buyer questions. Our Profound alternatives compare ten tools that publish a plan.

8. HubSpot AI Search Grader: best for a free first look

HubSpot's AI Search Grader is a free, one-time brand check that needs no account. You enter your company name, location, industry and product, and it reports how OpenAI's models, Perplexity and Gemini describe your brand, scored on sentiment, presence quality, brand recognition, share of voice and market competition.

  • Covers: rival share, and a snapshot of how three models describe you.
  • Best for: a first read before you spend anything, or a number to bring to the meeting that funds a real audit.
  • What it costs (read 24 October 2026): nothing.
  • Where it falls short: it is a single snapshot on three models, not your buyer questions run over time, and it does not check crawlers, cited pages or fixes.

Free checks for each part

Part Free check What it tells you
Crawler access Cituna's free AI visibility checker; a raw-HTML fetch with curl Whether eight AI crawlers can reach and read the site; whether facts survive without JavaScript
Answers HubSpot's AI Search Grader; your own prompt panel by hand How three models describe you; what each engine answers to your questions
Pages read Bing Webmaster Tools AI Performance Citations of your pages in Microsoft Copilot and Bing's AI summaries, per URL
Google's AI surfaces Search Console's generative AI report Impressions in AI Overviews and AI Mode, by page, country, device and date
Rival share HubSpot's grader; Ahrefs' free AI Visibility Checker preview Share of voice against your market (HubSpot); a preview of Brand Radar data (Ahrefs)

Search Console's report counts impressions only, with no clicks, queries or position, as of 17 October 2026; our note on Search Console's generative AI report explains what it misses. Bing's AI Performance report went into public preview on 10 February 2026 (Bing Webmaster Blog).

When to run the audit yourself, and when an agency is worth it

Run it yourself when one person can own it, the product sells in one market, and engineering can change robots.txt, rendering and schema in the same sprint. A daily tracker plus the free checks above covers the five parts, and the fix list is short enough to work through in-house.

An agency is worth it when the fix list is mostly pages and sources rather than settings: comparison and integration pages to write, review sites and best-of lists to earn a place on, forum questions to answer, all measured engine by engine. It is also worth it when nobody inside has the hours. Our notes on B2B SaaS SEO and AEO agency pricing and on agency, in-house or fractional set out the costs, and if you want us to run the audit and the fix list with you, book a 30-minute call.

Which AI visibility audit tool should a B2B SaaS team pick?

Questions

What is the best AI visibility audit tool?

Cituna. It tracks all 7 AI engines, writes the fix for every gap, shows which AI crawlers read your pages and publishes to your CMS, from $49 a month, with the pages each answer cites and unlimited page audits in the same tool. By need: Ahrefs Brand Radar for benchmarking any brand across its prompt index, Peec AI for source and gap analysis with unlimited users, Rankscale for more than 17 engines, the Semrush toolkit for Semrush customers, Otterly.AI for a $29 entry, Profound for an enterprise contract and HubSpot's AI Search Grader for a free first look.

What should an AI visibility audit include?

Five parts: whether AI crawlers can reach your pages and read the facts in server-rendered HTML; the questions your buyers ask and each engine's answer to them; the pages each engine reads and cites; your share of answers against named rivals; and a fix list that turns every gap into a page, source or technical change, in order.

Is there a free AI visibility audit tool?

Several free checks cover one part each. HubSpot's AI Search Grader is a one-time brand check on three AI models with no account needed. Cituna's free AI visibility checker tests whether eight AI crawlers can reach and read a site, which is a crawler check rather than a brand check. Ahrefs offers a free AI Visibility Checker preview, and Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools report AI impressions and citations for their own surfaces.

How is an AI visibility audit different from an SEO audit?

An SEO audit asks whether Google can crawl, index and rank your pages. An AI visibility audit adds the AI crawlers, which robots.txt treats one by one, the answers each engine writes to your buyers' questions, the third-party pages those answers cite, and how often rivals are named instead of you.

How often should a SaaS company run an AI visibility audit?

Run the crawler and page checks after every significant site release, and track the answers continuously, because answers are written afresh each time and the cited sources shift. A full review of the five parts once a quarter keeps the fix list current.

Should you run an AI visibility audit yourself or hire an agency?

Run it yourself when one person owns it, the product sells in one market and engineering can change robots.txt and rendering quickly. An agency earns its fee when the fix list is mostly pages, comparisons and third-party sources to win, or when nobody inside has the time to work through it.
