9 Best AI Resume Builders Under $50 a Month (2026)
The best AI resume builder under $50 a month on this page is RecruitMyself. It scores a CV from 0 to 100 with 30 checks, builds single-column, ATS-friendly resumes with AI-written bullet points and fills in applications through a Chrome extension, from $19 a month on Pro (the first resume download starts a 7-day pass at $2.95, then $19 a month unless cancelled). Eight more AI resume builders list a monthly price under $50, in this order: Careerflow ($23.99), Kickresume ($24), Teal ($29), Rezi ($29), Enhancv ($39), Simplify ($39.99), Huntr ($40) and Jobscan ($49.95). Every price is the vendor's own list price as recorded on 16 October 2026.
Other needs point elsewhere. Kickresume publishes a yearly plan at $8 a month ($96 a year). Teal's free plan allows unlimited resumes and PDF exports. Rezi sells a one-time Lifetime plan for $149. Careerflow scores a LinkedIn profile across 14 sections alongside the resume. Jobscan returns a match rate out of 100 against a job post. Eight of the nine have a free plan; Enhancv offers a 7-day free plan instead.

The 9 side by side
Prices are in dollars as published and were recorded on 16 October 2026. "One month" is the plan's price for a single month, which is the figure that puts a tool under $50.

How we chose these 9
This page is a buyer guide of the kind we write for teams choosing software: what each tool does, what it costs and who it suits, taken from the vendor's own pages. It reports what the vendors publish. It does not rate how good any tool's resumes are, and nothing here rests on our own use of the tools.
We started from ten resume and job search tools whose pricing and feature pages were recorded on 16 October 2026: Careerflow, Enhancv, Huntr, Jobscan, Kickresume, RecruitMyself, Resume Worded, Rezi, Simplify and Teal. Two checks decided the list.
- It builds or writes a resume with AI. The vendor's own feature list names an AI resume builder or an AI writer for resume content. Nine tools pass. Resume Worded does not: the features recorded for it are a resume score out of 100, line-by-line feedback, AI rewrites of weak lines you approve one at a time, and templates, with no AI resume builder named. Its Pro plan is $49 a month.
- One month costs under $50. The tool's subscription plan, bought for a single month, lists a price below $50 on the vendor's own pricing page. All nine pass; the highest is Jobscan at $49.95. A free plan alone does not qualify a tool.
The order is the price of one month, lowest first. Where two tools tie, the one whose free plan allows more resumes and exports goes first, which puts Teal (unlimited resumes and PDF exports) ahead of Rezi (1 resume and 3 PDF downloads). Longer terms are shown in the table but do not move a tool, because several of them cost more than $50 in a single payment. The sections below give each tool's price with the date it was recorded. The 9 in order
1. RecruitMyself
RecruitMyself is a job search platform that scores a CV from 0 to 100 using 30 checks, builds single-column, ATS-friendly resumes with AI-written bullet points, and scores jobs from employers' career pages against your profile. Its Chrome extension fills in applications on Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, LinkedIn and company career pages, and you review and submit each one. On Pro, one-click CV tailoring adapts the CV to each job and ATS scans are unlimited.
- Best for: checking how a CV scores before applying, without a card, then tailoring one CV to many job descriptions on a monthly plan. It also runs Apply for You, a service in which an expert applies to roles for you; no price is published for it.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): Pro is $19 a month billed monthly. The pricing page says 3-month and yearly billing save 26% and 47% but does not list those prices, and Pro carries a 7-day money-back guarantee. The free plan covers building and previewing resumes, one full CV score scan per email, Chrome extension autofill, a LinkedIn profile score and job matches. Downloading a resume is not free: the first download starts a 7-day Pro pass at $2.95, which renews at $19 a month unless cancelled.
- Where it falls short: a download costs money. Only one full CV score scan is free per email, and unlimited scans need Pro. The prices for 3-month and yearly billing and for Apply for You are not published. The pages recorded mention PDF export only; DOCX export is not mentioned.

2. Careerflow
Careerflow is an AI career platform. It combines an AI resume builder and ATS optimiser, a LinkedIn Optimizer that scores a profile across 14 sections, a job tracker, a networking tracker, AI cover letters, and a Chrome extension that autofills applications on Greenhouse, Workday, Lever and other platforms.
- Best for: improving a LinkedIn profile alongside a resume, tailoring resumes and cover letters to each job, and short job searches billed by the week.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): Basic is free. Premium is $23.99 a month, $54.99 every 3 months ($18.33 a month), $172.99 a year ($14.41 a month) or $8.99 a week, and unlocks unlimited AI resumes with the ATS optimizer, the AI bullet and summary writer, and AI cover letters. Premium Plus, at $44.99 a month, adds AI mock interviews and interview analysis.
- Where it falls short: the free plan creates and exports one resume, and each extra resume has a fee. The AI writers for cover letters, bullets, LinkedIn posts and elevator pitches need Premium. The terms call purchases final and non-refundable, and weekly subscriptions are never refunded.

3. Kickresume
Kickresume is a resume and cover letter builder with matching templates, 20,000 pre-written phrases and over 1,500 resume examples. The Premium plan adds over 40 templates, an AI writer that drafts a resume from a job title or job ad, an ATS resume checker that runs over 20 checks, a Career Map that suggests career paths, and LinkedIn and PDF import. Premium subscribers can also use the iOS and Android apps.
- Best for: making a designed resume with a matching cover letter. Students with ISIC, ITIC or UNiDAYS status can get Premium free, and longer job searches billed yearly come to $8 a month.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): the free plan allows unlimited resumes, cover letters and downloads with 4 basic resume templates, 4 matching cover letter templates, 1 basic website template and 2 fonts. Premium is $24 a month, $18 a month billed quarterly ($54 every 3 months) or $8 a month billed yearly ($96 a year), with a 14-day money-back guarantee for new users.
- Where it falls short: AI writing and the ATS checker are Premium features, and the free plan has limited design options. Monthly billing at $24 is three times the per-month rate on yearly billing. The terms say subscriptions are non-refundable apart from the one-time 14-day guarantee for new users.

4. Teal
Teal combines an AI resume builder with a job application tracker. You can start from scratch, upload a resume or import a LinkedIn profile, then compare it with a job description for keywords and a match score. Its Chrome extension saves jobs from over 40 job boards, including Indeed, Glassdoor and BuiltIn, into the tracker, where you can rate jobs and add contacts, notes and checklists.
- Best for: keeping every application, contact and follow-up in one tracker, tailoring several resume versions to different job descriptions, and building and exporting resumes for free with limited AI help.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): the Free Forever plan has unlimited resumes, job tracking and PDF exports, 10 resume templates, the top 5 keywords from a job description, basic resume analysis, and AI credits for 10 resume bullets, 2 professional summaries and 2 cover letters, with no credit card needed. Teal+ is $29 every 30 days, $13 every 7 days or $79 every 90 days, and removes the free plan's limits on keyword matching, resume analysis and AI writing.
- Where it falls short: the free plan shows only the top 5 keywords from a job description and has a small number of AI credits. No annual price is listed. The pages read do not describe the extension filling in application forms, and the builder pages describe PDF export only.

5. Rezi
Rezi is an AI resume builder that writes and edits bullet points, rates a resume on 23 metrics with the Rezi Score, and finds the keywords a resume is missing from a pasted job description. It includes cover letter and resignation letter writers, AI mock interviews and an AI Resume Agent that edits a resume through a chat. A free Chrome extension autofills applications on Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and other applicant tracking systems, and resumes export to PDF, Microsoft Word (.docx) and Google Drive.
- Best for: tailoring a resume to the keywords in a specific job description, and paying once instead of monthly with the Lifetime plan.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): the free plan gives 1 resume, 1 AI interview, 3 PDF downloads, standard format templates, the AI resume writer and editor, and limited Rezi Score and keyword targeting, with unlimited cover and resignation letters and no card needed. Pro is $29 a month and adds unlimited resumes, AI interviews and PDF downloads, all templates, the full Rezi Score and keyword targeting, and one expert resume review a month. Lifetime is a $149 one-time payment for Pro features without the monthly expert review. The $149 is above $50 in one charge; the $29 monthly Pro price is what places Rezi on this list.
- Where it falls short: the free plan allows one resume and three PDF downloads. The Lifetime plan does not include the monthly expert resume review. The mobile app is linked on the App Store only, and no Android app is mentioned.

6. Enhancv
Enhancv is an online resume builder with single-column, two-column and multi-page templates and an AI writing assistant. It tailors a resume to a pasted job ad with a match score and keyword suggestions, runs a resume checker with 27 checks, and translates resumes into other languages. It also includes a cover letter builder and a job application tracker with a Chrome extension.
- Best for: building a designed resume from scratch or from a LinkedIn profile, tailoring one resume to several job ads, and recruiters or career coaches making branded resumes for clients.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): there is no permanent free plan. The 7-day Free Plan needs no credit card and gives all templates, basic resume sections, Enhancv branding and up to 12 section items. Pro is $39 a month, $69 every 3 months ($23 a month) or $99 every 6 months ($16.50 a month), and covers 300 resumes and cover letters, real-time content suggestions, the ATS check, and no branding.
- Where it falls short: the free plan lasts 7 days and adds Enhancv branding. Resumes download as PDF, and the pricing page says Word export is not offered. There is no annual plan; the longest billing period is 6 months. Per the terms, monthly fees are non-refundable if you used the service that month.

7. Simplify
Simplify is a job search platform. Its free Copilot browser extension fills in job applications on company career sites and saves each one to a job tracker, alongside a job board with AI job matching and a resume builder with AI suggestions and keyword matching. The Simplify+ tier adds AI resume tailoring, AI cover letters and answers to application questions, plus Autopilot, which applies to up to 20 jobs a week for you.
- Best for: filling in long applications on employer career sites, keeping a record of every application without typing it in, and students and new grads looking for internships and entry-level roles.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): the free plan covers job search, the Copilot autofill extension, the job tracker, and a resume keyword score with the keywords you are missing. Simplify+ is $39.99 for 1 month, $19.99 for 1 week or $89.99 for 3 months; no annual plan is listed. Every length includes the same features.
- Where it falls short: AI resume tailoring, cover letters and Autopilot need Simplify+. Autopilot is capped at 20 auto-applies a week, and extra credits cannot be bought yet. Simplify+ payments are non-refundable once the subscription is active. Firefox support is in beta, and on mobile Copilot works only on iPhone and iPad through the Simplify iOS app.

8. Huntr
Huntr is a job search organiser built around a kanban job tracker. Its Chrome extension clips jobs from job boards and employer sites and autofills application forms. It also has an AI resume builder, resume tailoring and review against a job description, a resume checker, AI cover letters, and contact and interview trackers. Mobile apps for iOS and Android let you browse job sites and save jobs.
- Best for: organising a large job search on one board, and tailoring a resume and cover letter to each posting.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): the free plan tracks up to 100 jobs and gives unlimited base resumes with free PDF export, all resume templates, 2 job-tailored resumes, 2 application packets, unlimited autofills and a small number of AI credits (the number is not stated). Pro is $40 a month, $90 every 3 months ($30 a month) or $160 every 6 months ($26.66 a month), with the same features on every billing option.
- Where it falls short: the free plan includes only 2 job-tailored resumes, and AI features need Pro once the free AI credits run out. There is no free trial and no annual plan. The clipper and autofill are a Chrome extension; no other browser is mentioned.

9. Jobscan
Jobscan compares a resume with a job description and returns a match rate out of 100, the keywords and skills the resume is missing, and checks on ATS readability and formatting. Given a company name or job link, it detects the applicant tracking system the employer uses. It also offers an AI resume optimizer and builder, a LinkedIn profile optimizer, a cover letter generator and a job tracker with a Chrome extension.
- Best for: checking a resume against each job post before applying, and finding the keywords and skills a post asks for that a resume lacks.
- What it costs (recorded 16 October 2026): the free plan gives 5 resume scans a month and 5 ATS and recruiter findings, plus the job tracker, resume builder, resume manager and Chrome extension. Premium is $49.95 a month, or $89.95 every 3 months ($29.98 a month), with unlimited resume scans and AI optimizations. A 7-day free trial comes with the quarterly plan and bills $89.95 when it ends unless cancelled; the monthly plan has no trial.
- Where it falls short: the free plan allows 5 resume scans a month, and there is no annual plan. The monthly price sits five cents under the $50 line, and the three-month payment of $89.95 is above it. The free trial comes only with the quarterly plan. When a subscription ends, premium features and the data tied to them are no longer available.

If you are buying for a team
The under-$50 bar is one person's monthly price, and team plans sit outside it. Three of the nine publish a team or organisation offer. Rezi's Enterprise plan is $99 a month per 200 users, sold through a demo, for universities, agencies and career sites, and adds domain restriction, SSO, webhooks, team roles and group delegation. Huntr offers versions for career centers, bootcamps, career coaches, workforce development and outplacement under a separate agreement, with no price listed. Enhancv lists plans for recruiters and career coaches, and the pages recorded give no price for them. Ask each vendor for a written quote and seat terms before you compare them with the prices above.
If you are the vendor, our guide to getting a SaaS featured in the lists AI engines quote covers how to find those lists and stay within the rules, and you can book a 30-minute call to see how The Rank Master works on it, with published pricing and no annual lock-in.
Questions buyers ask
Is there a free AI resume builder?
Several of the nine build a resume on a free plan, within limits. Teal's free plan has unlimited resumes and PDF exports and AI credits for 10 resume bullets, 2 professional summaries and 2 cover letters. Huntr's has unlimited base resumes with free PDF export. Kickresume's allows unlimited resumes and downloads with 4 basic templates, but no AI writer. Rezi's includes the AI resume writer with 1 resume and 3 PDF downloads, and Careerflow's lets you create and export one resume. RecruitMyself's free plan builds and previews resumes, but the first download starts a $2.95 pass that renews at $19 a month. Enhancv has no free plan, only a 7-day one.
Can I pay for a single week or month?
All nine list a monthly price (Teal's is every 30 days). Three also sell shorter periods: Careerflow Premium at $8.99 a week, Simplify+ at $19.99 for 1 week and Teal+ at $13 every 7 days. Read the refund terms first. Careerflow's terms never refund weekly subscriptions, and Simplify+ payments are non-refundable once the subscription is active. RecruitMyself's Pro carries a 7-day money-back guarantee, and Kickresume gives new users a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Do longer plans cost more than $50 in one payment?
Often, yes. Careerflow's yearly plan is $172.99, Huntr's 6-month plan is $160, Rezi's Lifetime plan is $149 once, Enhancv's 6-month plan is $99, Kickresume's yearly plan is $96, Simplify+ for 3 months is $89.99, Jobscan for 3 months is $89.95 and Teal+ for 90 days is $79. The trade is a lower monthly rate: Kickresume's yearly plan works out at $8 a month and Careerflow's at $14.41. A tool is on this page because one month costs under $50, not because every plan does.
