8 best Peec AI alternatives and what each costs (2026)
The best Peec AI alternative for a team that wants its engines checked daily, the fixes written and a flat monthly price is Cituna. It checks seven AI engines every day and can write the fix for each gap it finds, from $39 a month billed monthly, against Peec AI's $95 a month for 50 prompts on three models. The other seven picks suit other needs. Rankscale tracks the longest engine list here, more than 17 engines, from $17 a month billed yearly. AthenaHQ has a free plan and tracks 11 models on its paid one. Ahrefs Brand Radar and the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit add AI tracking to an SEO suite you may already pay for. SE Visible, Otterly.AI and Scrunch cover the price points from $29 to $250 a month.
Every price and limit below comes from each vendor's own pricing and feature pages, as recorded on 24 September and 17 October 2026, with the read date beside it. Vendors change plans often, so check the pricing page before you buy. A tracker only shows where you stand; if you want to be recommended by the seven AI engines buyers ask first, book a 30-minute call and we will look at your category with you.
The eight side by side
Peec AI is shown as the baseline. Prices are the entry plan; Cituna, Rankscale and Peec AI were read on 17 October 2026 and the rest on 24 September 2026. "Not published" means the vendor's pages do not say.

How we chose these 8
This list answers one question: which tools do the job Peec AI does, tracking how a brand is named and cited in AI answers, with a different mix of engines, price and extras.
- Source and dates. Every fact comes from the vendor's own pricing, plans and feature pages. Cituna, Rankscale and Peec AI were read on 17 October 2026; Ahrefs, AthenaHQ, Otterly.AI, Scrunch, SE Visible and Semrush on 24 September 2026. This is a buyer's guide built from published pages, not a hands-on review, so it carries no ratings and no scores.
- Minimum bar. A tool is on the list if it tracks a brand's mentions or citations across more than one AI engine and publishes at least one price a brand can read without talking to sales. We looked at nine tools besides Peec AI. Profound did not clear the second test: for brands its pages show a 7-day free trial and then an Enterprise plan priced by quote, and the only figure they publish is $399/month per client workspace on its agency plan. That leaves eight.
- Four questions, set against Peec AI's entry plan. Engines: how many AI engines the entry plan tracks, and which cost extra. Price: the published entry price on monthly billing. Beyond tracking: whether the plan also writes fixes or content, audits pages or brings in Search Console data. Limits: the prompt, credit, user and plan caps a Peec AI team would meet.
- Order. Cituna goes first as the top pick because of how much its $39 entry plan covers at once: seven engines checked daily, fixes written for the gaps it finds and Search Console data on every plan. The other seven are ordered by the engines their entry plan tracks, highest first, with the entry price settling ties. Where a vendor's pages do not split engines by plan, we use the number its product page gives.
Peec AI, the baseline
Peec AI tracks visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice in AI answers, and analyses the sources those answers cite. Its self-serve plans, read on 17 October 2026:
- Starter: $95/month billed monthly, or $80/month billed annually. It covers 50 prompts, 3 models, daily tracking, 1 project and unlimited users.
- Pro: $245/month billed monthly, or $205/month billed annually, for 150 prompts, 3 models and 2 projects.
- Advanced: $495/month billed monthly, or $420/month billed annually, for 350 prompts, 3 models, 5 projects, multi-country tracking and a Looker Studio integration.
- Additional model: $35, $85 or $165/month billed monthly, or $30, $70 or $140/month billed annually, on Starter, Pro or Advanced.
- Enterprise: custom, billed annually, with up to 13 models, API access and SSO.
Four limits in Peec AI's published plans frame the comparison: there is no free plan and the free trial's length is not stated; each extra model costs extra on every self-serve plan; Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and Mistral are tracked only on Enterprise; and API access and SSO are Enterprise-only.
Picks by need
- Engines checked daily, fixes written, a flat monthly price: Cituna, $39/month billed monthly, for one brand and 10 buyer prompts.
- The longest engine list: Rankscale, more than 17 engines, from $17/month billed yearly only, or $99/month billed monthly on Pro.
- A free plan: AthenaHQ's Essentials plan comes with $25 of free credit.
- AI tracking inside an SEO suite: Ahrefs Brand Radar from $50/month for custom prompts, or the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit at $99/month.
- A larger prompt allowance: SE Visible's Basic plan tracks 200 prompts at $99/month billed monthly, against 50 on Peec AI Starter at $95.
- A small team on a small budget: Otterly.AI Lite, $29/month for 15 search prompts on four engines.
- Agency work across many brands: Cituna's Max plan covers 10 brands at $399/month, Rankscale's Growth plan adds white-label dashboards at $385/month billed monthly, and Scrunch lists an Agency Core plan at $500/month.
- Controlling what AI agents read on your site: Scrunch's Enterprise plan, priced on request, adds a platform that serves AI agents an optimised version of the site.
The 8 alternatives
1. Cituna
Cituna is an AI visibility platform that measures and then does the work that follows. Every day it asks seven AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode) the questions buyers ask about a market, and records which brands each engine names and which pages it cites. For each gap it can write the fix, such as schema, FAQ markup, an llms.txt file or an article, and publish to WordPress, Shopify, Sanity or a GitHub repository. It also turns the sites the engines cite into an outreach plan, with a pitch for each site and a status that runs from planned to placed, and it joins the results to Google Search Console data. For what Search Console reports about AI features on its own, see our note on the Search Console generative AI report.
The trade against Peec AI is prompts for engines: Cituna's Starter tracks 10 buyer prompts on seven engines, where Peec AI Starter tracks 50 prompts on three models.
- Best for: teams that want AI visibility gaps fixed, not only reported; planning outreach to the sites engines cite when they name a competitor; agencies tracking up to 10 client brands on one plan.
- What it costs (read 17 October 2026): a free trial of 3 days, with a card required. Starter is $39/month, billed monthly, for 1 brand, 10 buyer prompts, all seven engines, daily scans, fixes written on request, 30 articles a month and an outreach plan for cited sites. Pro is $119/month, billed monthly, for 3 brands, 30 buyer prompts, alerts, auto-generated fixes and competitor tracking. Max is $399/month, billed monthly, for 10 brands and 90 buyer prompts.
- Where it falls short: there is no free plan, and the trial becomes a paid Starter plan unless you cancel. It does not track Microsoft Copilot. Starter covers one brand and 10 prompts, with competitor tracking listed from Pro. Cancelling stops renewal but does not refund a partial month.

2. Rankscale
Rankscale monitors how brands appear across more than 17 AI engines, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Mistral, Copilot and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode. Usage is paid for in credits: a check of one prompt on one engine typically costs 0.25 credits, and you choose how often each prompt runs, from hourly to monthly. It adds citation, sentiment and competitor analysis, page audits of any URL, and an MCP server on every plan.
- Best for: tracking many client brands, with white-label dashboards and an agency programme on the higher plans; tracking engines that many tools skip, such as DeepSeek, Mistral and Grok; controlling cost by choosing the engines and the check frequency for each prompt.
- What it costs (read 17 October 2026): Essentials is $17/month, billed yearly only ($204 a year), with 120 credits a month, 2 brand dashboards and 10 page audits a month. Pro is $99/month billed monthly, or $84/month billed yearly, with 1,200 credits a month, 10 brand dashboards and a 7-day free trial. Pro+ is $229/month billed monthly, or $195/month billed yearly, and adds a REST API. Growth is $385/month billed monthly, or $327/month billed yearly, and adds white-label dashboards. Enterprise is $780/month billed monthly, or $663/month billed yearly, and a Custom plan is by quote.
- Where it falls short: credits make cost harder to predict, because a Claude check uses 2 credits and a DeepSeek check 1, against 0.25 for ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Mode. Essentials is sold yearly only, with no credit rollover and only 2 brand dashboards. The REST API starts on Pro+ and white-label dashboards on Growth.

3. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ tracks how a brand appears in AI search and suggests what to change. Its paid plan covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral, with usage measured in credits where one credit is one AI response. It adds source and competitor insights, content recommendations, a content optimisation agent and integrations with Google Analytics and Search Console.
- Best for: trying AI visibility tracking on a free plan before paying; getting tracking and content recommendations in one tool; tracking a wide set of models, including Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI.
- What it costs (read 24 September 2026): Essentials is free, with $25 of free credit (300 credits) on ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot; the page does not say whether the credits renew. Starter is $295/month billed monthly, or $245/month billed annually, with 3,600 credits a month across 11 AI models. Enterprise is custom.
- Where it falls short: the only paid self-serve plan costs $295 a month, against $95 for Peec AI Starter. API access and extra credits are paid add-ons on Starter, priced on request, and tracking in multiple regions and languages is an Enterprise feature.

4. Ahrefs Brand Radar
Ahrefs Brand Radar measures how often brands are mentioned and cited in AI answers. Its AI Visibility Index looks up any brand across a database of prompts that Ahrefs runs through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, AI Overviews and AI Mode, with no setup. Custom Prompts tracks the questions you choose, including on Claude, and Brand Radar also covers YouTube, TikTok and Reddit results.
- Best for: benchmarking an established brand's AI share of voice against competitors without setting up prompts; using the small daily AI prompt quota that comes with an Ahrefs plan; tracking a set of buyer questions across several platforms on a per-check budget.
- What it costs (read 24 September 2026): custom prompts run $50/month (Basic, 2,500 checks a month), $100/month (Growth, 7,000 checks) or $250/month (Scale, 25,000 checks), with overage billed per check. Brand Radar AI, the AI Visibility Index, is from $199/month. Ahrefs Lite, Standard or Advanced cost $129, $249 or $449/month, or $108, $208 or $374/month billed annually, and include 5, 10 or 20 tracked AI prompts.
- Where it falls short: there is no free trial for Brand Radar; Ahrefs' pricing FAQ points to Ahrefs Free, which covers Site Explorer and Site Audit only. Ahrefs says the Index may have limited coverage for brands with little or no search volume. Custom prompts are billed per check, and each Claude update uses 8 checks. The Index's question sets are re-tested monthly on a 90-day reporting window, so it is not a daily feed.

5. SE Visible
SE Visible is SE Ranking's AI visibility tool for brands and agencies. It tracks prompts daily on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode and AI Overviews, recording brand mentions, sentiment, competitors and the domains and URLs cited. The answers are collected through each platform's own interface rather than its API, and every plan has unlimited users.
- Best for: marketing and PR teams tracking how AI answers describe a brand; managing AI visibility for several client brands; finding the publications and forums that AI engines cite, for outreach.
- What it costs (read 24 September 2026): a 10-day free trial. Basic is $99/month billed monthly, or $79/month billed annually, for 200 prompts, 3 projects and 5 answer engines. Core is $189/month billed monthly, or $151/month billed annually, for 450 prompts and 5 projects. Plus is $355/month billed monthly, or $284/month billed annually, for 1,000 prompts and 10 projects, and is sold through a demo. Custom is by quote.
- Where it falls short: there is no free plan. Country tracking covers the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain, in five languages. Claude, query fan-out analysis and local AI visibility are listed as coming soon, so Claude is not tracked yet.

6. Otterly.AI
Otterly.AI monitors how brands and websites appear in AI search. It runs your prompts daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude as paid add-ons, and reports brand mentions, website citations and a brand visibility index. It also audits pages for generative engine optimisation and includes a prompt research tool.
- Best for: tracking a handful of prompts for a small team; reporting AI search visibility for several clients from separate workspaces; checking which websites AI engines cite for your topics.
- What it costs (read 24 September 2026): Lite is $29/month billed monthly, or $25/month billed annually, for 15 search prompts, 4 AI engines and daily tracking. Standard is $189/month billed monthly, or $160/month billed annually, for 100 search prompts plus API and MCP access. Premium is $489/month billed monthly, or $422/month billed annually, for 400 search prompts. Enterprise is custom. On Lite, Google AI Mode or Gemini cost from $9/month and Claude from $29/month. New users get a free trial of a length the pricing page does not state.
- Where it falls short: there is no free plan, and the cheapest plan tracks 15 prompts. Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude cost extra on every plan. API, MCP and Agent Analytics start on Standard.

7. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
The Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit measures how brands appear in AI-generated answers. It scores a brand's AI visibility against its competitors, tracks chosen prompts daily on platforms such as ChatGPT and Google AI Mode, researches prompts and topics, reports on sentiment and share of voice, and audits whether AI crawlers can read a site. Semrush One plans bundle it with the SEO toolkit.
- Best for: adding AI visibility data to a Semrush account already used for SEO; benchmarking share of voice in AI answers against competitors; finding prompts and topics to target.
- What it costs (read 24 September 2026): the toolkit alone is $99/month for 25 tracked prompts and 1 domain for Brand Performance. Semrush One Starter is $199/month billed monthly, or $165.17/month billed annually, and Semrush One Pro+ is $299/month billed monthly, or $248.17/month billed annually. Semrush One Advanced is $549/month billed monthly, or $455.67/month billed annually. Enterprise is custom.
- Where it falls short: the toolkit on its own has no free trial, because Semrush says a paid subscription is required. It tracks 25 prompts; 50 more cost $60 a month, and each extra domain for Brand Performance costs $99 a month. Each user needs their own toolkit licence, and Brand Performance reports update weekly rather than daily.

8. Scrunch
Scrunch monitors how a brand shows up in AI search, tracking prompts, citations, competitors and sentiment, and audits websites for how AI agents read them. Its Enterprise plan adds the Agent Experience Platform (AXP), which delivers an optimised version of a site to AI agents without changing what people see. The self-serve Core plan covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Scrunch's about page says it was acquired by Sitecore in 2026 and continues to operate as a standalone platform.
- Best for: tracking AI visibility across several teams in a mid-size or enterprise brand; controlling what AI agents read on a site without changing the pages people see; tracking AI visibility for agency clients.
- What it costs (read 24 September 2026): Core is $250/month, with 125 unique prompts, 4 AI platforms, 5 site audits a month, 1 brand workspace, 5 users and 5 competitors, and it starts with a 7-day free trial that becomes a paid plan unless cancelled. Agency Core is $500/month. Enterprise and Agency Enterprise are custom.
- Where it falls short: there is no free plan, and Core costs $250 a month after the trial. Core covers four AI platforms, one country, one language and five competitors. API, MCP and Looker Studio access, SAML SSO and AXP are Enterprise-only.

Choosing between them
Start from the limit that binds first. If it is the number of engines, shortlist Rankscale, AthenaHQ and Cituna. If it is a suite you already pay for, check the Ahrefs and Semrush options first. If it is prompts, compare SE Visible's 200 with Peec AI's 50. Then run your own ten buyer prompts through the free trial of your top two, where one exists, and compare what each returns. If you would rather have help with the choice, or with what to do about the gaps a tracker shows, book a 30-minute call.
Questions
What is the best Peec AI alternative?
It depends on the need. For seven engines checked daily, fixes written and Search Console data from $39 a month billed monthly, Cituna. For the longest engine list, Rankscale, with more than 17 engines. For a free plan, AthenaHQ. For AI tracking inside an SEO suite you already use, Ahrefs Brand Radar or the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit.
Is there a free alternative to Peec AI?
One tool here has a free plan: AthenaHQ's Essentials plan comes with $25 of free credit, which is 300 credits on five engines, and its page does not say whether the credits renew. The others offer trials. Cituna gives 3 days with a card required, Rankscale gives 7 days of Pro, Scrunch gives 7 days of Core, SE Visible gives 10 days, and Otterly.AI offers a free trial of a length it does not state. Ahrefs Brand Radar and the Semrush toolkit on its own offer no free trial.
Which Peec AI alternative tracks the most AI engines?
Rankscale names more than 17 engines. AthenaHQ's Starter plan tracks 11 models, every Cituna plan checks seven engines, and SE Visible tracks five. Peec AI's self-serve plans track three models you choose, with more as paid add-ons.
Can I track AI visibility without a paid tool?
You can start by hand. Build a fixed list of buyer prompts, run each one several times and record whether your brand is mentioned, recommended and cited. Our guide to measuring brand visibility in ChatGPT and AI answers walks through the method, along with the free first-party data. A paid tool earns its price when the prompt list outgrows a spreadsheet.
Does a tracker improve my visibility, or only measure it?
Every tool here measures. Some add work: Cituna writes fixes and an outreach plan, AthenaHQ lists content recommendations and a content optimisation agent, Rankscale audits pages for AI visibility, and Scrunch's Enterprise plan serves AI agents an optimised version of a site. The pages themselves still have to earn the citation, which is the subject of our guide to getting your SaaS product recommended by AI engines.
