9 best tools for posting to multiple social media (2026)

The Rank Master editorial team

Nine tools cleared the bar for posting to multiple social media from one place. Ranked by what it costs to connect five accounts for one brand on monthly billing, they run from PostWharf at $15 a month, with unlimited channels per brand, through Publer at $20 and Metricool and Later at $25 each, to Sendible at $35, with Postiz, SocialBee, Buffer and SocialPilot between them. Every price, limit and feature below comes from the vendor's own pricing and product pages as recorded on 16 October 2026. If you would rather start free, Buffer, Metricool and Publer each have a free plan, and the limits of each are listed in its entry.

This page is a buyer's guide in the way an agency briefs a client choosing software: what each tool does, what it costs and who it suits. Decide the shape of your team first (how many brands, how many people, which networks), then use the price order to break ties. To get your own software found in Google and recommended by the AI engines buyers ask first, book a 30-minute call.

The nine tools side by side

Prices are in US dollars on monthly billing, as read on 16 October 2026. The third column is the ranking figure: the lowest listed price for a plan that connects five accounts, one on each of five networks, for one brand.

1 PostWharf $15 a month Per workspace (one brand), unlimited channels 7-day trial, no free plan 10
2 Publer $20 a month Per social account, plus $2 a month per extra member Free plan for 3 accounts; 7-day trial 13

9 Sendible $35 a month Per workspace (6 profiles), unlimited users 14-day trial, no free plan 10

How we chose these nine

The need is narrow: one tool that takes a post and publishes it to several social networks. We started from twelve social media scheduling tools whose pricing and feature pages were recorded on 16 October 2026, and a tool is on the list if it passes all three tests below, each read from the vendor's own pages.

  1. It publishes to at least eight networks from one tool, counted from the networks the vendor lists.
  2. It publishes a price for a self-serve plan that connects five accounts for one brand, at $50 a month or less on monthly billing, before add-ons and VAT.
  3. Every figure is dated. Prices and features were recorded on 16 October 2026 from the pricing page linked in each entry and from the vendor's product, help or developer pages. Nothing here is estimated, and where a vendor does not publish a figure we say so.

Nine tools passed. The ranking is the monthly price of the cheapest plan that connects five accounts for one brand, and a tie goes to the tool that lists more networks. Four entries need a note: Buffer's $30 is five channels at its $6 per-channel rate, Publer's $20 leaves out the $2 a month it charges for each extra team member, Metricool's $25 leaves out the $10 a month it charges for each connected X account, and Later publishes to eight networks and not to X. We rank on published price only and do not rate how well any tool works, so read each entry's "Best for" and "Where it falls short" before you trust a rank.

Roundups like this one are a kind of page AI engines quote when buyers ask for a tool list, which is why software vendors care about them; our guide to getting a SaaS featured in the lists AI engines quote explains how those lists are chosen.

Picks by need

  • Several brands without per-channel fees. PostWharf bills per workspace, which is one brand, with unlimited channels, from $15 a month. Sendible bills per workspace of 6 profiles with unlimited users, from $35. Metricool bills by brand tier, up to 5 brands from $25.
  • Paying only for the accounts you connect. Publer starts at $5 a month for one account, and Buffer charges $6 a month per channel.
  • A free plan. Buffer's covers 3 channels, Metricool's covers 1 brand with 20 scheduled posts a month, and Publer's covers 3 accounts.
  • A large team without per-seat fees. Sendible includes unlimited users on every plan, Buffer's Team plan includes unlimited team members, and Postiz includes unlimited team members from its Team plan.
  • Scheduling from an AI assistant or code. PostWharf, Postiz, Buffer, Metricool and SocialPilot each include an MCP server on every plan, and PostWharf and Postiz add a REST API and a command-line tool.
  • Hosting it yourself. Postiz publishes its AGPL-3.0 code, which you can run on your own server for free.
  • Visual planning for Instagram and TikTok. Later is built around a drag-and-drop calendar.

The nine tools in order

1. PostWharf

PostWharf publishes one post to ten networks: Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Telegram. You write the post once in one composer and adjust the wording for each network. Each brand gets its own workspace, with its own channels, drafts, queue and history, and billing is per workspace with unlimited channels, so adding a channel adds no fee. After a post goes out, PostWharf re-checks it and shows one row per network; failed deliveries retry automatically and the reason appears in a status feed. The REST API, webhooks, MCP server and command-line tool come with every plan, and posts drafted through an AI assistant wait for your approval before they publish.

  • Best for: teams running several brands without paying for each connected channel, teams posting from Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant through MCP or from scripts, Zapier, Make or n8n, and anyone who needs to see which networks actually received each post.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): Starter is $15/mo, or $10/mo billed yearly, for 1 workspace, unlimited channels and 200 scheduled posts a month. Startup is $29/mo, or $23/mo billed yearly, for 3 workspaces and 400 posts a month, with email support. Plus is $67/mo, or $54/mo billed yearly, for 10 workspaces and 1,000 posts, with priority support. Pro is $99/mo, or $79/mo billed yearly, for unlimited workspaces and 2,500 posts, with dedicated support. Starter has a 7-day free trial and the card is charged when the trial ends.
  • Where it falls short: there is no free plan. Scheduled posts are capped each month, from 200 on Starter to 2,500 on Pro. Reddit, Discord, Snapchat and WordPress are available on request only and cannot be connected yet. Its pages do not describe analytics reports or an inbox for replying to comments.

2. Publer

Publer publishes to 13 networks: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and WordPress. It has a calendar, an auto-scheduling queue, recurring posts, evergreen recycling and bulk scheduling of up to 500 posts from a CSV file, plus first-comment and thread scheduling. Workspaces carry member roles and approval workflows.

  • Best for: solo creators and small businesses that want to pay only for the accounts they connect, teams that bulk-schedule or recycle evergreen posts, agencies running client workspaces with approvals, and anyone scheduling threads on X, Threads, Bluesky or Mastodon.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): Professional is $5/mo, or $4/mo billed yearly, for 1 social account, $12/mo for 3 accounts and $20/mo for 5 accounts, with each extra member $2/mo. Business is $10/mo, or $8/mo billed yearly, for 1 social account, $21/mo for 3 accounts and $35/mo for 5 accounts, with each extra member $3/mo; it adds analytics, best times to post, competitor analysis, unlimited AI prompts, the API and an MCP server. The free plan covers 1 user, 1 workspace, 3 social accounts (no X), 10 scheduled posts per account, 25 saved drafts and a 24-hour post history. Trials run 7 days on Professional and 14 days on Business. Enterprise is custom and billed yearly.
  • Where it falls short: cost grows with every profile and every extra member. The free plan leaves out X and caps scheduling at 10 posts per account. Analytics, unlimited AI prompts, the API and MCP need the Business plan, and daily posting limits per profile apply, with unlimited daily posting reserved for Enterprise.
  • Source: Publer plans, read 16 October 2026.

3. Metricool

Metricool is a planner and analytics tool for 11 networks: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile and X. The planner has auto publishing, best times to post, autolists, RSS feeds and a post library. It reports on organic posts and on Facebook, Google and TikTok ads, and it has an inbox, competitor analysis, comment-to-DM flows and a link-in-bio page. Its MCP server is on every plan, including the free one.

  • Best for: agencies and freelancers managing several client brands on one plan, teams that want organic social and ad reporting in one dashboard, and small businesses that want to start on a free plan.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): Starter is $25/mo, or $20/mo billed annually, for up to 5 brands, and $45/mo, or $36/mo annually, for 10 brands. Advanced starts at $67/mo, or $53/mo billed annually, for 15 brands, and adds team and client management, post approvals, a Data Studio connector and the API. Custom is by contact. The free plan covers 1 brand, all networks except LinkedIn and X, 20 scheduled posts a month, 5 competitor profiles and 30 days of analytics. Each brand holds one profile per network.
  • Where it falls short: X is not included and costs $10 a month per connected account. The free plan leaves out LinkedIn and X and caps scheduling at 20 posts a month. Approvals, team roles and the API need Advanced, and Advanced Analytics is an add-on from $12/month on Starter or $36/month on Advanced. No free trial is listed on its pricing page.

4. Later

Later is a visual planner built around a drag-and-drop calendar, with auto-publishing to eight networks: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Snapchat. It shows best times to post for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, includes a Link in Bio page, and has an AI caption writer metered in credits. From the Growth plan it adds approvals, with comment links for outside stakeholders, and a social inbox for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.

  • Best for: Instagram and TikTok brands that plan content visually, creators and shops that use a Link in Bio page to drive traffic, and small teams managing one or two brands across several networks.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): Starter is $25/mo, or $18.75/mo billed yearly, for 1 social set (8 profiles), 1 user and 30 posts per profile per month. Growth is $50/mo, or $37.50/mo billed yearly, for 2 social sets (16 profiles), 2 users and 180 posts per profile per month; an extra social set is $15/mo and an extra user $5/mo. Scale is $110/mo, or $82.50/mo billed yearly, for 6 social sets (48 profiles), 4 users and unlimited posts. All three have a 14-day free trial.
  • Where it falls short: it does not publish to X, Bluesky or Google Business Profile. Starter has 1 user and no add-ons, and post limits per profile are 30 a month on Starter and 180 on Growth. There is no free plan.

5. Postiz

Postiz is an open-source scheduler that publishes to 34 platforms, including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit, Discord, Bluesky and Mastodon. It handles scheduled comments and threads, repeated posts, delays between posts and cross-posting. Its MCP server, command-line tool, public REST API and webhooks are on every plan, and its Smart Agent schedules posts and writes content through chat.

  • Best for: teams that want to self-host their scheduler, teams scheduling from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or other AI agents through MCP or the command line, and teams posting to community and developer channels such as Reddit, Discord and Mastodon.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): hosted plans are priced by connected channels, with unlimited posts. Standard is $29/mo, or $23/mo billed yearly, for 5 channels and no team members. Team is $39/mo, or $31/mo billed yearly, for 10 channels. Pro is $49/mo, or $39/mo billed yearly, for 30 channels. Ultimate is $99/mo, or $79/mo billed yearly, for 100 channels. Team, Pro and Ultimate include unlimited team members. Every hosted plan has a 7-day free trial that needs a card. Self-hosting the code is free.
  • Where it falls short: there is no free hosted plan, and clipping and some AI video generators unlock only after the trial converts. Standard has no team members. Self-hosting means registering your own developer app with most networks, which can take weeks for Meta, YouTube and TikTok. Annual plans are not refundable.

6. SocialBee

SocialBee schedules posts by content category and publishes directly to ten networks: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile and Bluesky. Its Universal Posting sends mobile reminders for networks without direct posting, such as Facebook Groups, WhatsApp, Telegram, Mastodon and Quora. It also recycles evergreen posts, expires time-bound ones, drafts posts with an AI Copilot and has an engagement inbox.

  • Best for: teams recycling evergreen content on a category-based schedule, freelancers and small businesses managing a handful of profiles, agencies that need a separate workspace per client, and posting reminders for networks without direct publishing.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): Bootstrap is $29/mo, or $290/yr billed annually, for 5 social profiles, 1 user and 1 workspace. Accelerate is $49/mo, or $490/yr billed annually, for 10 profiles, with advanced analytics, a bulk editor, CSV uploads and post approval. Pro is $99/mo, or $990/yr billed annually, for 25 profiles, 3 users per workspace and 5 workspaces. Pro50 is $179/mo, Pro100 is $329/mo and Pro150 is $449/mo, each with yearly billing 16% off. Extra users and workspaces cost $10 a month each. The free trial runs 14 days with no credit card, and posting stops when it ends.
  • Where it falls short: there is no free plan. Bootstrap lacks advanced analytics, the bulk editor, CSV uploads and post approval. Cost climbs with profiles, users and workspaces. Its pages do not describe a public API or an MCP server, so automation runs through Zapier, Make or Pabbly.

7. Buffer

Buffer publishes to 12 channels: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Mastodon, Google Business Profile and Substack. It has a posting queue, a visual calendar, drafts and an ideas board, a community inbox for replying to comments, an AI Assistant for writing and repurposing posts, and analytics reports. A public GraphQL API and an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Perplexity are included on every plan, the free one too.

  • Best for: creators and small businesses managing a few channels on a budget, agencies that want to pay per channel rather than per brand or client, teams that need approval workflows without per-user fees, and scheduling from AI assistants.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): the free plan covers up to 3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time, 100 ideas, 1 user and 30 days of insights. Essentials is $6 per channel/mo, or $5 per channel/mo billed yearly, with unlimited scheduled posts and 1 user. Team is $12 per channel/mo, or $10 per channel/mo billed yearly, and adds unlimited team members, approval workflows, access levels and branded reports. Essentials and Team have a 14-day free trial.
  • Where it falls short: billing is per connected channel, so cost rises with every channel, and after an upgrade the 3 channels that were free are billed too. Approval workflows and access levels need the Team plan. Instagram personal profiles and Facebook groups get reminder notifications only, not automatic publishing.
  • Source: Buffer pricing, read 16 October 2026.

8. SocialPilot

SocialPilot publishes to ten networks: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile and Bluesky. It has smart queues, a calendar, first-comment scheduling, repeat posts and posts from RSS feeds, with a social inbox and analytics from the Standard plan. Manager approval starts on Standard and client approvals on Premium, and an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools is on every plan.

  • Best for: agencies managing client accounts with client approvals and white-label reports, small teams that want scheduling, a shared inbox and analytics in one tool, and scheduling from Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): Essentials is $30/mo, or $25.50/mo billed annually, for 7 social accounts and 1 user. Standard is $50/mo, or $42.50/mo billed annually, for 15 accounts and 3 users. Premium is $100/mo, or $85/mo billed annually, for 25 accounts and 6 users. 9. Sendible

Sendible is built for agencies and multi-location brands. It publishes to ten networks: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Google Business Profile and WordPress. Each workspace keeps one client's profiles, calendar, inbox and reports apart, every plan includes unlimited users, and Client Connect lets clients link their profiles without sharing passwords. It also has client dashboards, bulk CSV scheduling, smart queues, repeating posts and RSS auto-posting.

  • Best for: agencies with many clients that need separate workspaces and client approvals, teams with many users that want to avoid per-seat pricing, and multi-location brands posting to Google Business Profile listings.
  • What it costs (read 16 October 2026): Core is $35/mo, or $30/mo billed yearly, for 1 workspace, 6 social profiles and unlimited users; each extra workspace adds $35/mo. Plus is $99/mo, or $84/mo billed yearly, for 3 workspaces and 18 profiles, and adds assignment and approval workflows. Premium is $199/mo, or $169/mo billed yearly, for 7 workspaces and 42 profiles. The free trial runs 14 days with no card.
  • Where it falls short: there is no free plan, and more profiles mean buying extra workspaces. Approval workflows start on Plus at $99/mo. Pinterest is not on its supported networks list. White label is a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise only, from $349/mo and $800/mo according to its pricing FAQ. Its API currently supports only SSO integration, and no MCP server is mentioned.

Three suites left off the list

Agorapulse, Hootsuite and Sprout Social bundle an inbox, listening and reporting with publishing and charge per user, so they fall outside the $50 bar. Agorapulse starts at $99 per user a month, or $79 billed annually, with 10 social profiles shared across users. Hootsuite starts at $99 per user a month billed annually for up to 10 social accounts, and its plans page does not show a monthly rate. Sprout Social starts at $99 per seat a month, or $79 billed annually, with 5 social profiles. They suit teams whose first job is replying to comments, messages and reviews or listening to the conversation, with publishing second. Prices read 16 October 2026.

Questions buyers ask

How much does it cost to post to multiple social media?

On the nine tools here, connecting five accounts for one brand costs between $15 and $35 a month on monthly billing: PostWharf $15, Publer $20, Metricool $25, Later $25, Postiz $29, SocialBee $29, Buffer $30, SocialPilot $30 and Sendible $35. Each of the nine lists a lower rate for yearly billing, for example $10 a month for PostWharf's Starter and $5 per channel for Buffer's Essentials. Seat-priced suites such as Agorapulse, Hootsuite and Sprout Social start at $99 per user a month.

Which of these tools have a free plan?

Three. Buffer's free plan covers up to 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time. Metricool's covers 1 brand with 20 scheduled posts a month and leaves out LinkedIn and X. Publer's covers 3 accounts, without X, with 10 scheduled posts per account. Postiz has a 7-day trial and no free hosted plan, although its code can be self-hosted for free. PostWharf, Later, SocialBee, SocialPilot and Sendible offer a free trial of 7 or 14 days.

Which tools charge per brand rather than per channel?

PostWharf bills per workspace, which is one brand, with unlimited channels. Sendible bills per workspace of 6 profiles with unlimited users, and Metricool bills by brand tier. Buffer charges per connected channel and Publer per social account, Later bills per social set of 8 profiles, and Postiz, SocialBee and SocialPilot price by counts of channels, profiles or accounts.

Can I schedule posts from an AI assistant?

Yes, on six of the nine. PostWharf, Postiz, Buffer, Metricool and SocialPilot each include an MCP server on every plan, and Publer includes its MCP server and API on the Business plan. At PostWharf, posts drafted through an AI assistant wait for your approval before they publish.
